No Place Like Home

It is amazing how much there is to do now that I don’t have to work a typical corporate schedule any longer. Over the past four months, I have been traveling nearly non-stop.

Among the many trips included a visit with my son in Colorado, driving cross country with my Mom in a camper van, and taking a cruise to view the eclipse with my husband Nick. But now I am finally home for good so it is time to hunker down and get the studio set up!

There is SO much to do! In between trips, I have been purchasing equipment and gathering supplies including new cabinets, a new pottery kiln, a 3D Printer, and a large format fine art printer. I have been busy making a zillion test tiles for the new kiln but needed to wait for the electrician to upgrade my current setup since the new one needed slightly more power.

This week, the cabinets are being assembled and next week will involve sealing the butcherblock countertops. There is a bit of plaster and paint that needs to be done which might slow us down since I need to get my hands on some scaffolding but hopefully I will be able to share some photos of the chaos in time for the upcoming ‘Medfield Day’.

I signed up for a booth months ago believing that I would have everything in place by now. What was I thinking !
